Travelling to Port Augusta
Port Augusta is a seaport and railway junction city in South Australia mainly located on the east coast of the Spencer Gulf and approximately 322km north of SA’s capital city Adelaide. It is less than an hour away by air from Adelaide, and a mere 3.5 hours by road. Port Augusta is known as the “crossroads of Australia” because it is at the junction of major roads and rail links. All traffic across southern Australia passes through Port Augusta.
A number of historic places of interest can be viewed on a leisurely heritage walk and a variety of recreational facilities can be enjoyed. Port Augusta also makes an ideal base to explore the regions many attractions.

Airport
Port Augusta Airport
Port Augusta Airport is located approximately 8kms/10 minutes’ drive from the conference venue. The Airport is serviced by Regional Express (Rex) Airlines providing transport to Adelaide. For schedule and booking information please visit the Rex website. Please be advised that there are limited to flights in and out of Port Augusta.

Whyalla Airport
Residents can fly to and from Adelaide on the following regular passenger transport companies which operate out of the Airport.
Dual Airline Timetable for Whyalla to Adelaide(347 kb) - Flight duration to or from Adelaide is 45-50 minutes.
Both airlines and four car hire companies; Avis, Budget, Hertz and Thrifty utilise the terminal building to service their customers during scheduled air services.

Bus / Coach
A coach drive from Adelaide to Port Augusta takes approximately 5 hours via Cavan, Bolivar, Port Wakefield and Port Pirie.

Climate
The average temperatures in Spring (September to November) for the Upper Spencer Gulf range from Min 13°C and Max 27°C.
Conference Dress Code
During the conference program and networking dinner, smart casual dress is appropriate. The dress for the other evening functions is generally semi-formal.
